Disappearance of Transverse Flow in Central Collisions for Heavier Nuclei
Using the Quantum Molecular Dynamics model, we analyze the disappearance of flow in heavier colliding nuclei. A power law mass dependence (∝ 1 √ A ) is obtained in all cases. Our results are in excellent agreement with experimental data which allows us to predict the balance energy for U + U collision around 37-39 MeV/nucleon. Thirty years ago it was predicted by Scheid and Greiner [1] that in ...
متن کاملDisappearance of Resonance Tongues
where ai(t) = Pi + εQi cos2t, where Pi,Qi and ε are given constants, and where it is assumed that when ε=0 this system exhibits a pair of linearly independent solutions of period 2π . Since the driver cos2t has period π , we have the ingredients for a 2:1 subharmonic resonance which typically results in a tongue of instability involving unbounded solutions when ε >0. We present conditions on th...
متن کاملDisappearance of Elliptic Flow: A New Probe for the Nuclear Equation of State
Using a relativistic hadron transport model, we investigate the utility of the elliptic flow excitation function as a probe for the stiffness of nuclear matter and for the onset of a possible quark-gluon-plasma (QGP) phasetransition at AGS energies 1 ∼ EBeam ∼ 11 AGeV. The excitation function shows a strong dependence on the nuclear equation of state, and exhibits characteristic signatures whic...

متن کاملDISAPPEARANCE OF ROTATIONAL FLOW AND REACTION PLANE DISPERSIONS IN Kr+Au COLLISIONS
Recently, a new method has been proposed to extract single particle triple differential azimuthal distributions from two particles azimuthal correlation functions. In this article, we report the applications of this method to the Kr + Au reactions. Measurements with Kr ions at beam energies of E/A = 35, 55, and 70 MeV were performed with beams from the K1200 cyclotron of the National Supercondu...
